Our local Bellingen-Nambucca Rural Australians For Refugees group and the MNC Greens are inviting you to share in a delicious brunch at the landmark Old Butter Factory. Pia is offering four menu options: beef, chicken vegan and vegetarian so there's something for everyone! Akabella will be performing some songs for us and Mike Griffin will speak about his recent trip to a Palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon. Cost of a ticket is $40: $25 for the meal and $15 donation to Australia for the UNHCR's Syrian Crisis Appeal. You can also dig a little deeper by buying tickets in the raffle (3 for $5) - a framed art work by Anne Irvine. Brunch time is 11am. It's always tough being a refugee but right now, with so much misinformation around in this country, it's even harder to get an empathic ear! Let's put our best selves forward and use this opportunity to raise as much as possible. We look forward to welcoming you and sharing a convivial and heart-warming couple of hours.
