My Heritage book launch for the Human Rights Day Minh Hiền and Farshid hosted the My Heritage book launch in Hobart Tasmania for the Human Rights Day. In 1981, when seventeen-year-old Minh Hiền fled Việt Nam in a tiny fishing boat to seek peace, freedom and education, she left behind her parents, her safety and her custom. Through the rough waters, she carried a rich culture and the stories of three generations in her heart, which she now shares in her memoir, My Heritage: Việt Nam fatherland motherland. For further details of My Heritage please visit https://www.myheritage.net.au The book launch was held on Friday 9 Dec 2016 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Hadley’s Orient Hotel, 34 Murray Street, Hobart. The launch consisted of readings and speeches with light refreshments. We are delighted to have had 33 attendees of diverse backgrounds at the launch.
